Terms and conditions for Sew and Sea online sales


Goods orders received and paid for by 11.00 a.m. Tuesday to Saturday will be despatched the same day. Weekend orders received after 11.00 a.m. Saturday will be sent out on the following Tuesday . If we are unable to achieve our usual delivery times  we will let you know and give you the opportunity to revise your order if necessary.

Orders for gift vouchers received and paid for before 3.00 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday will be completed the same day, others will be completed on the next working day.

Work on orders will only be commenced once payment has been made.

We do our best to make sure the prices on the site are correct. Because we are human mistakes may happen so in time honoured tradition errors and omissions are excepted. If we have accidentally got the price wrong we reserve the right to not fulfil the order at that price. We will notify you and give you the option to go ahead with the order at the correct price or to cancel.


We accept payment by credit card (via PayPal, but you don't need a PayPal account.

We accept payment by direct electronic transfer to our bank account or by most popular debit/credit cards over the phone. If you have chosen to pay by transfer we will email our bank details to you.

Payments are only accepted in UK sterling.


Delivery options and charges, if applicable, will be clearly shown at checkout and are summarised here. Delivery times are given for guidance only.


Sew and Sea is not registered for VAT. For UK orders, the price you see is what you pay.

Where goods are shipped overseas the responsibility for any additional taxes, duties or charges levied as a result of importing goods into the destination country lies with the purchaser.


We aim to achieve high quality in everything to do, which includes our postal packaging.  Even so, things may get damaged in transit or develop a fault, in which case we will do everything we can to put matters right. If there is a problem please contact us straight away so we can work out a solution with you.

All fabric by the metre is cut to order and may only be returned if is faulty. Faults evident on delivery should be notified to us as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours of receipt to enable us to take appropriate action. We cannot accept returns of fabric which has been cut or otherwise processed by you.

Goods which develop a fault in the first 30 days may be returned for a full refund. Goods which develop a fault after 30 days may be repaired or replaced in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Please do not return goods without giving us a call or email first.

Gift Vouchers

Sew and Sea gift vouchers are issued electronically to the purchaser but are tailored to the recipient. However, it is the purchaser's responsibility to deliver the voucher to the intended recipient either electronically or in printed form. Vouchers can be used for payment towards workshops, courses and purchases in the Teignmouth shop. They are not redeemable online. Gift vouchers are not refundable or redeemable for cash. No change or refunds will be given but any balance remaining  may be applied to future purchases. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the end of the month of issue. Gift vouchers must be produced to pay for workshops or goods.
