Terms and conditions for Sew and Sea online sales
Our products are made to order; we aim to complete orders within 10 working days. Our working days are normally Tuesdays to Saturdays. If we are unable to achieve this we will let you know and give you the opportunity to revise your order if necessary.
Fabric orders will be despatched by the end of the working day following confirmation of payment.
Orders for gift vouchers received and paid for before 1500 Tuesday to Saturday will be completed the same day, others will be completed on the next working day.
Work on orders will only be commenced or despatched once payment has been made.
We do our best to make sure the prices on the site are correct. Because we are human mistakes may happen so in time honoured tradition errors and omissions are excepted. If we have accidentally got the price wrong we reserve the right to not fulfil the order at that price. We will notify you and give you the option to go ahead with the order at the correct price or to cancel.
We accept payment by direct electronic transfer to our bank account or by most popular debit/credit cards over the phone. If you have chosen to pay by transfer we will email our bank details to you.
Payments are only accepted in UK sterling.
UK orders are sent by Royal Mail second class unless circumstances require otherwise. Standard Royal Mail delivery charges are shown at checkout. If for any reason the Royal Mail service is unsuitable we will advise you of alternative costs before confirming the order.
Orders for overseas delivery will be quoted individually.
Orders may of course be collected from our Teignmouth shop with no delivery cost.
Sew and Sea is not registered for VAT. For UK orders, the price you see is what you pay.
Where goods are shipped overseas the responsibility for any additional taxes, duties or charges levied as a result of importing goods into the destination country lies with the purchaser.
We aim to achieve high quality in everything to do and to make things that will last. Even so, things may get damaged in transit or develop a fault, in which case we will do everything we can to put matters right. If there is a problem please call us straight away so we can work out a solution with you.
Goods made to order may only be returned if they are faulty. Faults evident on delivery should be notified to us as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours of receipt to enable us to take appropriate action.
Goods which develop a fault in the first 30 days may be returned for a full refund. Goods which develop a fault after 30 days may be repaired or replaced in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Please do not return goods without giving us a call or email first.
Sew and Sea gift vouchers can be used for payment towards workshops, courses and purchases in the Teignmouth shop. They are not redeemable online. Gift vouchers are not refundable or redeemable for cash. No change or refunds will be given but any balance remaining may be applied to future purchases. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the end of the month of issue. Gift vouchers must be produced to pay for workshops or goods.
